NEWS: Kendrick Lamar Wins Video Of The Year at MTV Video Music Awards
K.Dot takes home the night's biggest prize.
While DAMN. certainly earned its stripes as one of the year's most impressive bodies of work, the visuals that accompanied the tracks proved to be some of the most striking clips of the year, and Sunday night (August 27) they rightfully earned the credit they deserved as "HUMBLE.' took home the lauded Video of The Year award at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Alongside Dave Meyers and Dave Free, who also joined Kendrick onstage as he accpeted the award for Best Hip-Hop Video for the same visual earlier on in the night, Lamar gave his thanks to God and the crew that's help him bring together all his creative ventures since the inception of his career.
"Man, glory to God every time, giving us these amazing talents. ...I ain't nothing wihout my team, Dave Free. I've been rocking with things guy since I was fourteen years old. We always put our heads together. He's one of the greatest visionaries today in the game."
Nominated for eight total Video Music Awards, Kendrick walked away with six total wins, all attributed to the powerful "HUMBLE." music video.
